Randal's show critiques 2015

The Beagle Club 125th Anniversary Championship Show

Nearly 2 year old tri dog of excellent type. Very well balanced stallion hound, full of quality. Masculine dog but not coarse. Very well proportioned head with good length of muzzle, moderately wide skull, dark eyes, correct expression. Ears well set & of good length. Long arched neck leading into well angulated shoulders, level topline & sound muscular quarters. Strong round bone down to his compact feet. Merry temperament & carried his tail well. Moved in an effortless fashion showing great reach & drive. A real showman who loves the ring & performs well in it. He pushed very hard in the challenge & then had to defeat another super dog to gain the RCC

Tri dog, liked him for size & presenting a pleasing picture in outline, super head shape, dark eye. Clean shoulder lines to well boned limbs, level topline. Excels in rear assembly, bend of stifle & well let down hocks conveying power & propulsion from behind. Well muscled & carrying correct weight

Very pleasing head, good neck & shoulders, level topline, good turn of stifle.

Could be a shade shorter in loin for perfection but a really sound moving dog.

Beautiful tri, thought would be my winner of the day. This boy excels in hind movement which I could watch all day as he powers around the ring, from excellent hind quarters. Has a beautiful well balanced head with soft expression and so well balanced all through but today he looked a little heavy although could not deny his first place in this class

CC & BIS, Dawson & Goodall’s Janfrey Randal Upon Rundle,

I have admired this gorgeous boy since I first saw him as a puppy.

Shown in good, hard condition & in great bloom. Beautiful head with

a kind expression with dark eyes, correct earset, long arched neck

leading to a level topline & correct tailset. Deep chest, good layback

of shoulder, neat straight front, good round bone. Excellent bend of

stifle & well muscled, powerful hindquarters. He moved around the

ring as if he owned it with great reach & drive & was sound fore & aft.

I hope his crown is not too far away. A well deserved win

Lovely head with correct balance, liked him over the body.

A very compact faded tri blanket boy, he is a lovely picture stacked with a good forechest & depth of chest. He has a cracking bend of stifle & correct tailset & carriage. He has a beautiful expression with a kind dark eye. Good length of neck & moved with exuberance. You can see the excellent relationship between handler & dog & how he wants to please. RBD

Delighted to get my hands on this 19 month old tricolour boy after admiring him

from the ringside. Sturdy and masculine but making life hard for his owner today.

Pleasing head with handsome expression and low set ears. Smart outline and

the most level of toplines. Loved his angulation and parallel movement which was

free when settled, with enthusiasm from powerful quarters.Long reaching stride

making him a joy to watch in profile. Handler got the best from him.

Pleased to award him Best Dog and RBIS

I am sure he will wear the crown he deserves.
